Fort margerita was build on 1879 by the time of Brooke, to protect the town of Kuching from surprise attacks by a strong enemy, It's position by the river allowed defender an unobstructed view of surroundings. The Fort was also designed to aesthetically pleasing and add beauty of the town, The design look a like British building. The Fort now is a Police Museum.

How Kuching City got its Name?
The Sarawak river and whole state including Kuching town were fomerly known as Sarawak.

Kuching is a Malay word which means CAT and it is possible that in those days, cats were abundant along the Sarawak river bank, thus is was named Kuching. In 1839, James Brooke(the first white Rajah of Sarawak) referred the town as Kuching which might suggest to an old word Cochin or port, as in India or Indochina.
In 1870s there was a river running through it known as 'Sungai Kuching' as it passed through a hill where there was a large growth of fruit trees locally known as 'Mata Kuching' /lsau/Green Longan(Dimacarpus Longan). Thus, it's settled that in 1876 the town become afficially known as Kuching.

They both come with same plant, white pepper & green pepper, The final color has to do with the ripeness. The white peppercorn is ripens fully with red vine before it is picked.
A black pepper is pick from peppercorn when still green and dried in the sun until it turn black. Black pepper has slightly hotter flavor & aroma. As with many spice, if you grind as you use it & it will a lot flavor than if it was ground in a factory months ago and sat on the shelves in the grocery.

Annah Rais Longhouse is located about 60km from Kuching City, there are 70 units scattered single house, by now increased to 250 units above single or double storey houses. The race are bidayuh, above 60% of the populations are farmer, another 40% are move to the cities for career call in government or private sector. They plant uphill padi, peppers, rubber, cocoa, tapioca and cash crop. They also hunt wild animals for meats using silence weapon call blow pipe or gun, and fish fisher.
Why so many tourist from over the world love to visit Annah Rais Longhouse, it is a history written on 175 years old in a 19th century, when Rajah Brooke (James Brooke) came ruled the Sarawak peacefully installed & settlement which last time was ruled handle by Brunei Sultanate. In a 18 century, the choice for setting higher ground for longhouse was mean for security reason, because on those days head hunting was active practice in Sarawak. It is believe that our ancestors from uphill moved to downward hill. This longhouse is as old as five generations.
Old woman weave a mat, many young lady not interested in learning now, because it is not profitable activity. Mats means are exchanged for marriage dowries, to resolve family disputes, they serve as a principal means of income for village.
Head Hunting, for collections, the more skulls for collection, the more means in hero for chop head to show your brave. When you see the old people tattoo in neck, body or hand with blue circle or any design patterns tattoo means l chopped human head before, the more circle tattoo around body, means many skulls. If you don't have to skulls to proved to your beloved girl, no matter how handsome you are, you are nothing & get lose!
The cats are lovely protected by bidayuh people, because it can hunt so many wild mouse around village. Some you can see others chicken & wild dogs around village.

The city is from Kota Padawan, 10 Mile, straight drive to the road close to Semenggoh Orang Utan then drive again to Annah Rais Bidayuh Longhouse where the driving above 40km to the destination, taken 1 hours to reach Annah Rais Kampung.

经济萧条的影响

经济萧条是全世界一个“自然的定律”，每十年一次的经济低靡，似乎已经成为经济走势的定律。回顾之前在1982年的经济高峰，到了1988年的经济风暴；1992年的经济巅峰，1998年的经济低靡。原先以这样的定律计算，2002年应该属于经济高峰年，可是因为2001年911的恐怖袭击，因此经济无法振兴，2007/2008年可说是丰收年，许多的专家也预言说2008年将可能面对经济萧条，但是因为中国办奥运，所以“挨”过了奥运后，经济急速下滑。根据情报，其实在几年前，西方的经济体制已经出现问题了。2009年将是人们艰辛的一年，这一次的经济萧条是历年来最严重的（每一次经济萧条都是这么说的）。许多的行业都受到很大的打击，譬如电子业、科技业、地产业、广告业、制造生产业、旅游业、玩具业、交通业等等都受到影响。

许多的公司在经济不景气的时候，原产料的价格高涨，市场的需求减少，导致公司的开销与获益不能成正比。因此许多的公司就采取削减成本的政策，以应对目前这个艰辛的时刻。
削减成本的政策包括降低原料价格（运用价格较便宜的替代品）、减少营运时间（节省水电费）、裁退员工（没有特定的生产，唯有减少生产线的人力资源）、减薪或缩减工作日（让公司能够减少开销）、减少或停止促销宣传（减低不必要的开支，例如刊登广告）、停止生产某些商品（不畅销或盈利不大的商品不生产－不亏钱就是赚了）、采取外包策略（让其他人为自己的公司制造副产品）等等。
当然，选择防守的应对政策未必是上上之策。一味的防守最终或许因为本身无法继续坚持的情况下，被逼宣布清盘。要在经济不稳定的局势采取进攻的策略，许多的公司都会三思，毕竟进攻不果，就有如将金钱往海里丢。

有的公司还是会在经济萧条的时候采取不一样的进攻策略，比如在包装上、宣传策略上的变动、客户服务的加强、开源节流的政策应对等等，都在进攻与防守之前做一个协调，以创意、创新的手法应对难关。

经济萧条不管对老板、打工一族都会造成影响，关键是正面的影响还是负面的影响。

以积极正面的思维与行动应对，就会产生正面的效应；如果思维观念是负面的，就不会付出上策的行动应对危机，最后就一定陷入困境，被经济不景气打败。

与其经常的埋怨申诉，不如静下心来想个良策，积极的行动扭转局势，成为经济萧条中的大赢家！

The mystery of the Nabau Giant Snake

Did you heard about the rumor in Batang Rajang Sarawak name Nabau or giant snake lurking in borneo river. The Nabau giant snake more then 100ft long & also been seen at Stambak Ulu and Ili in Betong and else where in Sarawak. In Africa and Sri Lanka this type of snake is known as ‘anaconda’.

A member of the disaster relief committee, Sibu on 31 January 2009 was monitoring the flood situation in Ulu Rajang in a helicopter when he saw a monster that looked like a big snake cruising along the river. He took photographs of the monster at 5.30 pm at one of the Sungai Baleh tributaries from the helicopter.

My car sold, l drive this car almost 3 years, l love my car & clean almost every week, l got very good value of selling this car to my best friend!, l have 2 myvi cars at home, so l decided sell my manual gear myvi 1.3SX, l prefer auto gear myvi at home & l will sometime drive old honda car & small car kelisa for going out have fun! , l want reduce my cost for living since economic is bad at the moment & there is something change for government tax 2009!

l like the new Hybrid Honda car, the first launch in Sarawak!
For the past few week, exhibition Honda car at somewhere shopping centre, l saw one another hybrid engine, very interesting for saving cost, more & more future will cover replace by hybrid system, l consider hybrid, cost for petrol RM10.00 can run almost 150km, is totally save enough for petrol, this car cost around RM130,000.00 in Malaysia, l will planing one day buy hybrid car for advance..
